Broadway Debut

Simone Joy Jones, a Carolina transplant who calls San Antonio home, made her Broadway debut in March 2010 in the Tony Award-winning play “The Revival of the Miracle Worker”, playing best friend Martha to Abigail Breslin’s “Helen Keller”. She made her film debut playing young Vicky in “Son of No One”, starring Al Pacino, with Tatum Channing. Simone soaked up the opportunity to work alongside people who inspire her.

Simone is a highly acclaimed, soon-to-be, graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and recipient of the coveted John Arthur Kennedy Award. This multi-talented, triple threat artist acts, sings and dances and plans to dive into her craft as an actor on stage and screen.

Featured Vocalist for Presidential Inaugural Balls

In 2009 and 2013, Simone was the featured vocalist for Presidential Inaugural Balls held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC. The African American Church Inaugural Balls drew a diverse audience of dignitaries from the United States and around the world, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Simone Joy Jones is a creator and innovator who loves to engage with all types of art. 

Recently, Simone jumpstarted her musical career under the name S!MONE. Her musical journey has allowed her to tell her own stories and invite others into a world of her own making. Listen to “We” and her newest EP “Divine Mistakes” on all streaming platforms.

Her love for music started as a young girl watching her mother sing during church choir practices. While driving her to karate, cheer, basketball or track practice, her father would play iconic music from the 80’s. She credits him with introducing her to some of her musical idols, including musical geniuses Michael Jackson and Prince.
